Newell, Virginia Olene (nee James)
MARBLE HILL, Mo. — Virginia Olene Newell, 72, of Arnold, Mo., formerly of Marble Hill, died at the home of a daughter in Arnold.
She was born Aug. 3, 1935, at Scopus, Mo., daughter of Linus and Pearl Lincoln James. She and William "Bud" Newell were married Sept. 3, 1954. He died June 27, 1994.
Newell retired as a housekeeper from Valley Park Nursing Home in Valley Park, Mo.
Survivors include a son, Ricky Newell of French Village, Mo.; a daughter, Brenda Doggendorf of Arnold; a brother Junior James of Jackson; a sister, Wilma Carver of High Ridge, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sid Laxton officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
