PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Trula Marie Moonier, 90, of Perryville died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Holiday Residential Care Center. Visitation will be from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. at the church, with the Rev. Stephen Gallegos officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Young and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements...

A funeral will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 for 90-year-old Trula Marie Moonier of Perryville who died July 23, 2013 at Holiday Residential Care Center in Perryville.

She was born August 2, 1922 in McBride, the daughter of Roman W. and Clara (Bohnert) Ponder., who both preceded her in death.

She married Floyd J. Moonier on December 14, 1944. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2000.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters: Gerald (Laurie) Moonier, James (Linda) Moonier, and Sally (David) Werner all of St. Mary, and Patricia Williams of Rising Fawn, Georgia; two sisters: Frances Lakenan of Perryville and Gerlain Hall of St. Charles; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son: Clark Moonier; a sister: Theresa Ponder; a brother: Gildard Ponder; and a son-in-law: David Williams.

She had worked as a telephone operator, at Johnnie’s Poultry, Sears Catalog Store and was a home maker.

She was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer. She enjoyed basket weaving, quilting, and other crafts.

Visitation will be 8-10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 27 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Stephen Gallegos will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Memorial preferred to Alzheimer’s Association or Serenity Hospice.
