Lukefahr, Judith Ann (nee Lincoln)

Judith "Judy" Lukefahr, 59, formerly of Jackson, died Dec. 29, 2000 in Jackson. She was born Oct. 28, 1941 in Perryville, MO to the late Chester O. and Mildred (Abernathy) Lincoln. She and Perry E. Lukefahr were married June 4, 1961.

She was a 1959 graduate of Jackson High School. She attended Southwest Missouri Baptist in Bolivar and Southeast Missouri State University, each for a year.

She later worked at the former Garbers Ladies Clothing in Cape Girardeau.

For the past 39 years, she was a member of Sedgewickville United Methodist Church, serving as church instrumentalist and music director. She formerly served as the UMW leader and taught Sunday school in the children's division and young married couples.

She is survived by her husband; two sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Colleen Lukefahr of Jackson and Curtis and Cherie Lukefahr of Daisy; two grandchildren Lane Thomas Lukefahr and Alexis Grace Lukefahr; a brother' Michael "Mike" Lincoln of Dallas, TX; and a sister, Carol Sue Riehn of Marietta, GA.

McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson was in charge of arrangements. Services were Jan. 2 at the funeral home chapel with the Revs. James Brice and Virgil Bunch officiating. Interment in Russell Heights Cemetery.
