Grass, Robert Lee "Melon"
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Robert Lee "Melon" Grass, 73, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at Riverview at the Park Nursing Home in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. Robert was an U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Mary, Missouri, with the Rev. Richard Kasznel C.M. officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 2210 on the church lawn after Mass.

A funeral will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 for 73-year-old Robert Lee "Melon" Grass, of Ste. Genevieve who died Monday, October 27, 2014 at Riverview at the Park Nursing Home in Ste. Genevieve.
He was born August 27, 1941 in Ste. Genevieve, son of Alfred and Eva (Carron) Grass who both preceded him in death.
He married Mary C. Geiler April 15, 1967. She survives in Ste. Genevieve.
He is also survived by two sisters-in-law: Norma (Donald) Pecaut of Perryville and Rosie Johnston of Festus and nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers: Gerald, Austin, Donald and Kenneth Grass; a sister: Carrol Grass, and a brother-in-law: Larry Geiler.
Robert had worked in the Maintenance Department at Mississippi Lime for 33 years.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, member of VFW Post 2210 and American Legion Post 150 in Ste. Genevieve.
A memorial mass for 73-year-old Robert Lee "Melon" Grass, of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Mary. The Rev. Richard Kasznel C.M. will officiate.
Military honors will be provided by the V.F.W. Post 2210 on the church lawn after Mass.
Memorials are preferred to the World Bird Sanctuary, Kaskaskia Church, Immaculate Conception Church in St. Mary, or to the Garden Fund at Riverview at the Park Nursing Home.
