PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Rita E. Favier, 89, of Perryville died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Independence Care Center.

She was born Aug. 8, 1918, at St. Mary, Mo., daughter of Theodore and Emily Graff Bach. She and Glen J. Favier were married June 1, 1940. He died Sept. 8, 1999.

Favier was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Favier of Perryville; four daughters, Shirley Blechle of Old Appleton, Mo., Rita Rubel and Jane Wright of Perryville, Glenda O'Farrell of Doe Run, Mo.; a sister, Frances Erwin of Lithium, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a brother, a sister, a grandson and a great-grandson.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The wake will be at 7 p.m. Friday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 12th, 2008 for 89-year-old Rita Favier of Perryville, who died Wednesday, July 9th, 2008 at Independence Care Center of Perry County.

She was born August 8th, 1918 in St. Mary, the daughter of Theodore and Emily (Graff) Bach. They preceded her in death.

She married Glen Favier June 1st, 1940. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son and two daughters in law, and four daughters and sons in law; Jerry and Elaine Favier of Perryville, Shirley and Edgar Blechle of Old Appleton, Rita and Darvin Rubel, Jane and Bob Wright, all of Perryville, Glenda and Bill O’Farrell of Doe Run, Darlene Favier of Perryville; a sister, Frances Erwin of Lithium; 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Glen Joe Favier; a brother, John Bach; a sister, Mabel Ochs; a grandson, Kenny Favier; a great grandson, Thomas Clifton; a grand daughter in law, Sheila Favier.

She was a homemaker, and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Friday, July 11th, and from 6:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 12th at the Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville. A Catholic Wake will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at the Chapel.

Funeral Mass for 89-year-old Rita Favier of Perryville will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12th, 2008 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Milton Ryan will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
