PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Mildred "Mutz" Ruth Cearlock, 89, of Perryville died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, in Perryville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. The burial will be in the church cemetery...

Mildred "Mutz" Ruth Cearlock, 89, died February 14, 2015 in her home town of Perryville.

Mildred was born September 5, 1925 in Perryville, MO, daughter of Vester and Elsa (Knoll) Blaylock. Mildred is survived by her husband of 66 years, Albert Cearlock.

Mildred was baptized on September 20, 1925 and publicly proclaimed her faith through confirmation on April 2, 1939. She graduated from PHS in 1943. Mildred worked in the office of the shoe factory for 10 years. While raising her family, she provided in home day care for 14 years and retired from office work. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Concordia Ladies Aid, Berean Bible Class and taught Sunday School for 52 years. She was a member of American Legion Post 133 Auxiliary and VFW Post 4282 Auxiliary.

Other survivors include one son, Dr. Kenneth Cearlock and his wife, Kay of Cedar Rapids, IA; one daughter, Susan Smith and her husband, Larry of Kirkwood, MO; a sister, Dorothy Clifton of Port Orange, FL; and one sister-in-law, Ruby Blaylock of Perryville. Mutz was blessed with eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Wilma Mueller; and one brother, Hubert "Butch" Blaylock.

Visitation will be held Young & Sons Funeral Home on Friday, February 20 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and on Saturday, February 21 6:30 to 8:30 am. She will then be taken to Immanuel Lutheran Church for service at 10:00 am with Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial in church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran School Building Fund.
