Brunke, Mildred L. (nee Hart)
PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Mildred L. Brunke, 86, of Perryville died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.
She was born June 27, 1922, in Perryville, daughter of Thomas Ode and Louise Fassold Hart. She and Waldo "Duke" Brunke were married Feb. 9, 1946. He died Feb. 12, 1984.
Brunke had been a secretary at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Vaughn Brunke of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; a daughter, Cynthia Percell of Farmington, Mo.; a sister, Verna Tucker of O'Fallon, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
