Bollinger, Lenzil Ray
SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Ray Bollinger, 82, of Sedgewickville died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 18, 1921, at Sedgewickville, son of Columbus and Clola Seabaugh Bollinger. He and Joann L. Rhodes were married July 30, 1971.
Bollinger was a retired carpenter. He was a member and former trustee of Sedgewick-ville United Methodist Church, and member of Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158 in Jackson.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served in the Civil Intelligence Corps in Frankfurt, Germany.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Steve Bollinger of Durham, N.C., Sid Bollinger of Sedgewickville, Rick Kremer of Jackson; a brother, Glen Bollinger of Jackson; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Mo., from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday. An honor guard service by Altenthal-Joerns Post 158 will be held at 7.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Brice officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery near Sedgewickville.
