Blaylock, Lillie E. (nee Shrum)

Lillie E. Blaylock of Perryville, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 1998 at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville. She was 92.

She was born on Jan. 23, 1905 in Perry County, the daughter of the late James Marion and Rosa Byer (Myers) Shrum. She was married on Sept. 1, 1926 to Julius Spencer Blaylock, who preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 1975.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Donald and Mary Alice Blaylock of Hillsboro; one daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Clyde Lukefahr, Perryville; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-granchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Rev. Fred Shrum; and five sisters, Annie Loberg, Effie Wills, Hazel Yamnitz, Lena Shrum, and Mary Statler.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Crossroads United methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

The family prefers memorials to be made to the Crossroads United Methodist Church or Southeast Hospice.

Visitation will also be today, Tuesday, Jan. 13 from 6:30 a.m. until the time of the service at Young and Sons Chapel. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Young and Sons Chapel with the Rev. J. Michael Davis and the Rev. Howard Miller co-officiating. Burial will be in the Crossroads United Methodist Church Cemetery.
