Edmar "Ed" E. Aurich, 92, of Perryville died November 6, 2014 at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville, MO.

He was born June 29, 1922 in Farrar, MO, son of William and Esther (Dede) Aurich. They preceded him in death.

He married Lorna Boehme on August 16, 1947. She preceded him in death on February 3, 2013.

Edmar retired to Perryville after 35 years as an assembler & repairman for General Motors. He was an US Army veteran of WW II. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 133, V.F.W. Post 4282, and an avid gardener.

Survivors include one daughter, Katherine Zikos of Perryville; one son, Kenneth Aurich of Sedona, AZ; one brother, Gene Aurich of Perryville; and one grandson, Jonathan Zikos of Corpus Christi, TX .

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two brothers, Melvin Aurich , Norman "Buddy" Aurich; and two sisters, Betty Schmidt and Lillian Pohlman.

Visitation will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Monday, November 10 from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am with Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial in the Church Cemetery with Military Graveside Honors provided by American Legion Post 133 & Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Radio Broadcast or Gentiva Hospice.
